It is always a long wait when you are watching for the babies to come. Knowing you carefully matched a sire and dam and what that perfect match potentially will cria't. This result should be the epitome of what you are breeding toward after careful and strategic planning. The first part of our 2008 crop of crias are exactly what we had hoped they would be. We will be having more in the Fall of 2008, so do check back for updates and pictures.

*NOT FOR SALE*
This is the
first of the Eagle daughters crossed with our full Peruvian herdsire,
Marisco. We acquired Marisco for this VERY purpose and boy did he hit
a homerun with Kestrel. Long ago, after careful bloodline watching we
decided that Eagle's offspring definitely needed to be bred to
outcross lines because of the amount of foundation Patterson lines he
has. This cross was done to enhance the best of well respect North
American and Peruvian lines. This big gal is a mix of North American,
Canadian and Peruvian lines. Her barn name "Kiwi" comes from our
affectionate nickname for Terry when he is visiting here in the
U.S.

The first of our true classic pack performance breeding program results. This male is out of a Rocky Mountain Jester daughter and by our top show and pack male Anders Tobias. Both sides of this combined pedigree has hardcore pack and all around llamas and proven classic lines in it. Mazama has already been nicknamed "Little Toby" because he looks so much like a lighter version of his sire! With his basic training and handling, this guy is already showing great promise as a calm and easy to work with llama.

Special thank you to baby EXPERTS Grandpa Jim and Grandma Marilynn Larson for taking such good care of him and birthing him while we were at the Portland Rose Parade.
