Fun Photos of the Kuklenski's, friends and Farm

We love our Poodles! Niki grew up with Miniature Poodles and Jeff informed her the minute they got married that they would NOT own a Poodle! Then he said a large black one would be okay....and well.....the rest is history!

Hailee (left) our Standard was brought home while Jeff was on a business trip. Since she was a puppy her coat was still black and hadn't changed color yet. Niki broke it to him when Hailee was six months old that she would turn silver when she grew up. Hailee was born on August 29, 1999 and quickly become Jeff's personal fan club. Jeff is now a die hard "Poo" man and adores Hailee. They play frisbee, go bye bye, swim and just about anything you can think of! Hailee is the perfect Poo who is on guard to intruders, but loves company if her parents are home. She can be counted on to deliver mail (Poodle deliveries) throughout the house to Niki or Jeff. When not guarding, playing or waiting for fun, Hailee can be found sleeping on Jeff's pillow.

Daisy (right) our Miniature joined our family in November 2005. Her mother "Minnie Mouse" was a Christmas gift to Niki's parents in 2003. Niki's Mom had always wanted a puppy for Christmas. Six months later Niki's Mother passed away, thank goodness her Dad had Minnie to keep him company! One of the things her parents had planned on doing was to have a carefully planned litter of pups. After passing Optigen eye tests (black Poos have an eye problem specific to this color and Poos can have eye problems in general), Niki's Dad bred Minnie and had a litter of pups born August 29, 2005, the same day Hailee our Standard was born. For Niki's 2005 birthday, her family gave her one of the pups. In honor of Niki's Mom's love of Disney, the litter was named Mickey Mouse, Tinkerbelle and our little girl is Daisy.

Daisy is a tough little Poo who loves to wrestle with her big sister and play frisbee. Any other time is spent keeping track of Niki whom she adores. She has been to agility and obedience classes (as has Hailee). Daisy is black and her Father is from a well respected Poodle program Farthing Poodles. Niki was going to spay her, but her vet talked her out of it. Daisy has had her eyes CERF tested and both her parents were Optigen tested. Daisy has a wonderful personality, nice coat and good structure. She gave birth to a litter of pups August 17, 2007 (there were two boys and two girls). The sire to Daisy's pups was Pita-P Poodles AM Champion Foxmore Stetson.

We highly recommend Poodles as companion dogs. They are clean, don't shed, smart beyond belief and always entertaining. Our dogs can be lap dogs, but are also happy farm dogs!

Yes that is Daisy riding our pack male Toby when we went hiking! We told you she is tough!

Did we mention Hailee is a water dog? Pictured swimming at the top of Mount Baker Summer 2006.

Niki's Dad John is a big part of our lives. Pictured here with Daisy's puppy born 8/17/07. She is named Belle, after the Beauty and the Beast character.

Jeff is a horse guy! Since a small child, he has always dreamed of owning his own cow pony. His first horse was a Palomino bought as a wedding gift by Niki. His current horse is a registered Quarter Horse gelding Pepernaut's Tornado. Tornado was also a gift from Niki, after being advised by longtime friend John Mallon to buy him. John had done his training and nicknamed him "Lippy" because of his playful nature. Jeff has been taking reining and riding lessons for years on him.

Niki's Grandmother (her Mom's Mother) is a big part of our lives. Her whole life, Niki has always been close to her Grandparents. Grandma is 90 years old (born in 1916) and still able to live on her own. She has a great support network of neighbors and family that keep track of her.

Grandma used to fish, sunbath, camp, walk and do all kinds of outdoors things. Because of her eyesight, she cannot do most of these things any longer...but is still very sharp and aware. Grandma loves to swim and eat anything potato! She is pretty darn adorable and we love her dearly and feel so blessed she is still with us.

We have an annual date to do the June Portland Oregon Rose Festival Parade. Grandma has attended this parade most of her adult life, but now has trouble watching it. Our solution to this was to take her in the five mile parade in our llama cart. Grandma is a good sport and loves having all her friends say they saw her in the parade being pulled by a llama. Her favorite llama no less.....Eagle!

We gave Gramdma Eagle's 2006 National Driving Trophy as he won it the day after her 90th birthday!

When we moved to the new farm, we were informed by several neighbors that a cougar roams the area. We aren't taking any chances and decided to add two livestock guardian dogs to our crew.

Cher is a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix we got from Texas through an ASD rescue group. She is young, but in training with our other dog Aslan. Cher loves to play out in the pasture with various treasures she finds around the farm. Bailing twine, rocks, sticks, vet wrap and more are her favorite items to drag out there.

Aslan is a purebred Anatolian Shepherd who has extensive guarding experience which he has been sharing with Cher. He came from Mike and Pam Hruby of Arizona. While they had him, he killed a bobcat and a coyote. Aslan weighs in at 165lbs and is all business when it comes to guarding. Most of the time you think Aslan is asleep, but he can quickly come to life when needed.

These dogs work together with Cher acting as the alert dog and Aslan as the back-up swat team! We are really pleased with both of them.

What five acre farm is complete without a John Deere? Jeff now has his horse, tractor and a Poodle, what else could a man want?

This page was mostly reserved for non-llama pictures, but this picture was too neat. All of our llamas are favorites, but Nina and her daughter Chantika are extra special here. Nina is not only Niki's top girl, but Jeff's also! Her daughter Tika is also a big favorite and will stay here to replace her dam.

This is our good friend Donna with her performance llama Max. She and our other friend Linda used to run Llamas and More Catalog Store, but have since retired from their business. Donna has started to show her boy Max now that she has more time and it has been really fun to watch them!

Below is Donna with our other dear friend Linda. Between them is the famous Pepper Poodle! Besides Donna and Linda, Pepper ONLY likes his Auntie Niki.
