2008 Spokane Interstate Fair ALSA Show Grand Champion Heavy Wool Female

We have always loved Peppermint Patty and her wonderful personality. Niki had shown and groomed her on occasion for Ken Austin when she was a juvenile. Thank you to Claudia Kettrick, who was kind enough to allow Patty to come live here and join our breeding program. She will fit in well with our small and select herd.

We had been shopping for over two years looking for the perfect outcross female to breed to our herdsire Isle Eagle. The Austin's male El Toro is also a favorite of Niki's as she knew his wonderful disposition and award winning conformation too! El Toro is an ALSA Halter Champion, has his halter and Get of Sire ROM and was the 2003 Reserve Grand National Champion Heavy Wool Male. El Toro won the 2006 ALSA National Get of Sire Champion title. El Toro's half brother is an ALSA Halter Champion and ROM achiever and a two time National Champion Non-breeder. El Toro has a completely outcross Chilean line, making him unrelated to Eagle and our other male Marisco. The breeding potential here is endless!

Patty's dam is a Temuco Project girl originally owned by Iris Christ and later bought by the Austin's at her 1998 sale. She is a half sister through the sire to National Champion Heavy Wool male Toconao De Temuco. Other siblings include Osito De Temuco, Lonquimay De Temuco and Cindy De Temuco. Polilla was a lovely shade of grey (she is now deceased) and Peppermint Patty is also a beautiful silky grey girl.

In a very limited show career as a juvenile, Patty accumulated 20 points in halter and won the 2004 ALSA Northwestern regional Juvenile Heavy Wool Females out of 11 animals. She then was not shown for nearly four years and has just started reshowing in 2008.

We are excited to combine these North American and Chilean award winning lines. Patty is bred to Isle Eagle for a June 2009 cria.
