Family Picnic

At the Family Picnic, sponsored by the PTA, we will be celebrating the important role families have at Larrabee. This will be the first opportunity for next year's families, current families, and Larrabee staff to meet all at once. Snacks will be provided by the PTA, the recess equipment will be available for games, a slide show will be running in the gym, and the building will be open for tours.

Family involvement has been a key to Larrabee's success and we want to thank all of you.

PTA Board Meeting this Week

The PTA board will meet this Tuesday May 6 in the teacher lunchroom immediately after the assembly.

The PTA is currently accepting nominations for next year's PTA board. We are especially in need of nominations for president and vice president.

Elections will be held at the upcoming Spring general PTA meeting. Look for details in future newsletters and at this web site.

Cornet Bay

Thank you to Lisa Conlon and Cathy Young for presenting information and answering questions at the Cornet Bay parent meeting.

Families, don't forget to turn in your Cornet Bay forms and payments. June will be here before we know it!

If you plan to join us as a Cabin Leader for the third, fourth, and fifth grade cabins during Cornet Bay, you will need to get the fingerprinting paperwork in very soon. Fingerprint packets are available in the office. The cost for fingerprinting is $10. Please call Anne if you have any questions.

Can You Point Your Fingers and Do the Twist?

The Sock Hop is May 16th from 6–8 pm. We've got our fabulous D.J., Rob Zinns, to spin some tunes and Round Table pizza and root beer floats to fuel you up for LOTS of dancing!

Auction Update

A big thank you to everyone who helped with the auction this year! Even with a light turnout, we raised around $4000. This money will allow us to pay for our Cornet Bay field trip and give the rest of our annual staff and library grants. The auction, like so many other events, is a huge group effort that depends not only on our own families but on donations from the community as well. We are lucky to be part of such a generous place!
