For this month’s Silent Book Club, choose a book by an Afro-Mexican author OR a book that explores themes related to immigration, expatriation, belonging, identity, or building a life in Mexico.

As Black expats and immigrants living in Mexico, Fiestas Patrias gives us an opportunity not only to celebrate the country we now call home, but also to reflect on our relationship with Mexico — its history, its people, and what it means to create a sense of home and belonging somewhere beyond the country where we were born.📖 Bring your own book — there’s no required reading.
