A 42-day journey to think differently, relate better, and take charge of what you can control.
Participants move through six weeks of practical growth - agency, motivation, relationships, perception, behaviour, and integration - using short daily reflections and actions that help them shift from reacting-to-life to choosing more intentionally in real situations.
By the end, each participant builds a personal "Take Charge of Your Life" Portfolio with clear evidence of learning, reflection, and a practical plan for what comes next.
This Get Happier® Kickstarter aims to provide participants an introduction to Get Happier® and to benefit from it immediately in their daily lives.
The Kickstarter challenges participants to go through the following learning journey:
Shift Your Mental Model →
→ Discover Your Basic Needs, Wants and Beliefs
→ Create Positive Relationship Habits
→ Learn the Power of Perception
→ Understand More About Behaviour
→ Take Charge of Your Life.
The 42 days challenge aims to create the following rhythm of learning:
Learn →
→ Notice
→ Experience
→ Practise
→ Reflect
→ Apply
→ Demonstrate.
The challenge places emphasis on shifting from external to internal control, focusing on one's own behaviour, and applying learning to real situations.
Activities deliberately vary across adult learning preferences and multiple intelligences:
🧠 verbal-linguistic
🧠 logical-reflective
🧠 visual-spatial
🧠 interpersonal
🧠 intrapersonal
🧠 bodily-kinaesthetic, and
🧠 practical/experiential learning
Most daily challenges should take approximately 10–20 minutes, making the challenge sustainable alongside work and family commitments.
By Day 42, participants should have built a personal Take Charge of Your Life Portfolio containing six checkpoint submissions and a practical plan for continuing to apply the learning.
For ease of tracking participant's daily success, the challenges are designed to keep every day in the same recognisable five-part format:
TODAY'S IDEA →
→ TODAY'S CHALLENGE
→ TRY IT
→ NOTICE WHAT HAPPENS
→ RECORD ONE INSIGHT
This gives participants enough predictability to develop a habit while the actual activity changes sufficiently to serve different learning preferences.
The daily challenges incorporated a useful feature to keep participants motivated and engaged.
Take Charge Passport: every day earns a completed "mile", every seventh day is a Checkpoint.
The six checkpoints progressively assemble the participant's final Take Charge of Your Life Road Map.
