"Koh Thmei" - A former monarchy's secluded island in Cambodia (Fine Art Framed Print, limited edition)

A very secluded tropical island in the south of Cambodia that used to be the private vacation house of the former monarchy King and recently returned to the local people again. Inside the Ream National Park (famous for its pristine water and abundant wildlife) distanced 30km away from Sihanoukville, this almost untouched landscape is key for the national eco-tourism. Koh Thmei is forest bolded with beach with loneliness and serenity as result. It took me two local boats to reach this place, just sharing the journey with Cambodian workers who were going to rest with their families after the fishing season. For all of us, it was a sense of escape, calm and time stoppage. They were surprised when my drone appeared in the sky, as they were used to have no access to these views when this island belonged to the monarchy. When I asked what were their thoughts of this aerial view, they expressed fascinaction for sophisticated and clever sustainable construction over the sea. A unique story behind the picture.
